Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which size Rypstick is best for me?

4 Different Lengths Available - 45" Black, 44" Blue, 41" Green, 38" Orange. You should order the length of your current driver unless your driver distance is less than 200 yards and you play a 45" driver. In which case, order blue.. Your environment is also going to determine this. If you can only swing inside we recommend a shorter model, probably a yellow, but it depends on your ceiling height.

Where do the weights go into the Rypstick?

There is a dial above the chamber of the Rypstick, turn that counterclockwise to open the chamber. The weights go inside, do not attempt to put the weights in the end of the Rypstick. They are not designed to go in the end of the Rypstick.

Where do I put the weights while I am doing my workouts?

We recommend that you put the weights in your pocket, golf bag pocket, or someplace close.

How do I schedule my free swing analysis and fitness assessment?

You can also access this information underneath the Fitness Hub & Golf Swing tabs. Email rypgolf@gmail.com to get started.

I have received the Rypstick, what workouts should I do?

We recommend you go through your swing analysis and fitness assessment first. Our Rypstick Workouts are on the front page of the website. You can also find our workouts under Golf Swing. There are also golf swing fix workouts that you can do if you fight one of the four major issues with the swing.

How do I measure my success during the workouts?

There are multiple ways to measure your speed gains. If you, your club, or a local store has a simulator you can measure your clubhead speed or ball speed on that. To start we recommend warming up, then taking 3 swings with your driver prior to any workouts. Take the average of those 3 and that is your baseline. You can follow up after each workout if you’d like and if you have the access, to measure your success. You can also use a launch monitor or purchase a swing speed monitor. All of these are sufficient. The best and most affordable way to see your gains is on the golf course. Track your stats and see where you used to drive it. Those bunkers that you used to layup short of are no longer in play!

How much speed and distance will I pick up with Rypstick?

Everyone is different. When you go through the Swing Analysis and Fitness Assessment, you will receive a Ryp Golf Report Card with three categories: Golf Swing, Sequencing, Power Profile. Everything is factored in, if you have bad grades, there is more room for improvement. The clubhead speeds gains with 2 months of training are: 98% gain 2 mph, 50% gain 5+ mph, 10% gain 10+ mph. If you just use the Rypstick you will see gains, but not to the extent you would if you also worked on your golf swing and fitness.
